Really ...I'm embarrassingly out of the loop.

I went to a friends house Monday morning (after arriving home from the airport at 1:30am) and she said our other friend would be late because she was watching "the game". Game, what game? I had to be informed that the World Series Final game had been played. How weird to be so out of it. I didnt even realize the World Series was going on. duh. They were big Red Sox fans, so they were very excited about the outcome. We had been focused on the Rugby World Cup finals last week (really) and were bummed when England lost.
