British mysteries

  • Why do they serve pizza whole and not cut up into slices? It is so awkward to cut it up with a butter knife at the table.
  • Why don't they have marshmellows?
  • Why cant you get just regular ole yellow box Cheerios? White box Cheerios just aren't the same.
  • Why do the workers at the Waitrose grocery store have to wear high heels and little, white fedora hats with their uniforms? They look nice and very put together, but it's really not necessary. The butcher wears a hat, dress shirt, tie, blazer, white lab coat and apron - all the time, just to cut meat!
  • No ice???!!! this is crazy. drinks taste so much better with ice. try it! And no, one cube in the glass doesn't count.
  • "British Meat" hmmm. Why does it taste so different? and smell so bad? trust me
  • where do all the foxes come from?
  • Where are all the gas stations???? we drove for about 40 miles on the M25 (took over 2 hours) and saw only 2 stations. This is a MAJOR loop around a city of 6 million people and all those cars need gas and children need to use the toilet! Can we please get some more gas stations?
  • When driving here, do not miss your exit, the next one may be 10 miles away! Frontage roads do not exist.
One motorway bonus -there are NO Advertisements or billboards, just beautiful English countryside. (a motorway is their word for a freeway).
  • Another grocery question - why do all the carts roll sideways and not straight? It is the funniest thing you've seen watching all the shoppers try to navigate their trolleys (carts).
  • why, why, why are there so many newspapers? I cant decide which ones are "real" and good. It was so much easier being from a 1 newspaper town. By the way, Dallas Morning News if you are reading this, (HA), your online paper is not good!
